The U.S. Small Business Administration and America's SBDC Iowa at the University of Iowa are hosting a free financing workshop for existing and start-up businesses from 9:30-11 a.m. Oct. 27 at the Bioventures Center, 2500 Crosspark Road, Coralville.

This free 90-minute workshop gives an overview of the financing programs and services available from the SBA and its resource partners to help entrepreneurs start and grow a small business. 

Attendees of this financing form will learn more about SBA guaranteed loans, banks, certified development companies and microlenders; and financing programs for small businesses.

Featured financing programs include:

  • The SBA Microloan Program -- small loans up to $50,000.
  • The SBA 7(a) Loan Program -- SBA's most widely used loan program -- up to $5 million for a wide variety of small business needs.
  • The SBA 504 Loan Program, offers up to $5 million for long term, fixed asset financing.
  • Small business conventional financing through lenders.
